This piece of art was created for the Victims' Rights Week Art Show in 2017 by a trafficking survivor living in our safe house, in commemoration of a young man trafficked alongside her who took his own life several months after they were freed.
It tracks her journey from powerless, helpless victim, to survivor, to overcomer, and ultimately to triumphant. It is a journey every one of us has to make, and this piece illustrates it powerfully.
